Preclinical Evaluation Platform for Drug Candidates

The preclinical evaluation platform supports the authorization process of novel medicinal products by providing basic data from animal models. The platform comprises three test clusters: (i) ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolisation, elimination) characteristics, (ii) doses finding, and (iii) efficacy of candidate compounds (in dedicated animal disease models and controls). As a technical specificity the platform is using imaging methods (PET, MRI) for the establishment of kinetic and distribution data sets.
